Job Description

Opportunities Saab Australia is an industry participant in the Combat Systems Integration Integrated Project Team (CSI-IPT) Collaboration Agreement (CSI-IPT CCA). The CSI-IPT CCA forms a collaborative enterprise organisation to execute scopes of work across Hobart Class Destroyer (SEA4000 Phase 6 and other related Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) upgrades) and the Hunter Class Frigates (HCFs - SEA5000 Phase 1). This will see independently executed programs such as SEA4000 Phase 6 and SEA5000 Phase 1 brought under one umbrella enterprise organisation, the CSI-IPT. The roles The project requires qualified technicians who thrive under pressure and excel in complex integration environments. You will be a vital part of our Test and Commissioning Team, ensuring the delivery of highquality timely solutions that impact the performance of critical naval platforms. These roles offer unique opportunities for professional growth and require individuals ready for challenging work both interstate and offshore. Qualifications Qualified Technician: Certificate III or relevant experience in an Engineering, Electronics, Networking or related fields. Licences: Hold, or be eligible to apply/receive, relevant state licences (e.g., restricted electrical licence). Domain Knowledge: Relevant understanding, knowledge, and experience specific to engineering systems, assemblies, platforms, and services, with preference in one or more of the following capabilities: Underwater Sensors and Systems Communications Systems Above Water Sensors Systems Combat Management Systems Naval Weapons Systems Navigation Systems Key Skills and Attributes Adaptability & ProblemSolving: Confidently adjust to changing priorities, identify underlying issues, and actively contribute to system improvement initiatives. Operational Readiness: Available for deployment (interstate and offshore) to perform critical installation and maintenance tasks. Security: Eligible to hold or obtain a NV1 Security Clearance. Autonomy & Efficiency: Capable of managing competing priorities under minimal supervision while consistently exceeding job requirements and meeting strict deadlines. Communication & Collaboration: Function confidently within a team, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and foster a spirit of cooperation. Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills, excellent written/verbal communication, and intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
