What You''ll Be Doing The Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) is pivotal to the coordination of safe patient care, ward management and leadership with an understanding of the children first & foremost philosophy to ensure optimum service delivery. The NUM acts as a leader with advanced role model skills that promote culture and standards that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Leads, directs and co-ordinates safe patient care Ensures practice is safe and effective, maintaining standards of care through continual quality improvements initiatives Manages the ward effectively and within agreed allocated resources About You Were looking for someone who: Has current Authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Has relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and experience with a demonstrated commitment to professional development. Demonstrates motivational, leadership, interpersonal and high level communication skills.
