The Opportunity Our Western Port Manufacturing facility is looking for a Mechanical Equipment Specialist on our Maintenance team based in Hastings. As part of the broader Australian Steel Products Portfolio, we operate four major manufacturing sites at Western Port that run 24x7, delivering a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to export and domestic customers. Leveraging your strong technical background, you will ensure the reliability of our equipment to protect the quality of our product for valued customers. Working in a manufacturing environment, youll apply your skills to a range of activities from supporting safe and efficient emergency repairs to faultfinding inspections and continuous improvement activities. Your contributions will directly benefit equipment on our production lines and deliver maximum uptime and reliability for the business. What Will You Do Undertake troubleshooting daytoday problems, recommending and implementing robust solutions Analyse maintenance history and perform rootcause analysis and reporting Work with the wider maintenance team and contribute to planning and continuous improvement initiatives Undertake reporting and inspections to develop short and longerterm solutions Contribute to improving asset operating practices and maintenance strategies More About You Significant experience working on mechanical equipment in an industrial setting Strong attention to detail with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently A commitment to your own safety and wellbeing and care for others Good communication and influencing skills to deliver outcomes through others Mechanical trade qualifications (if required for the role) Why BlueScope Learn and develop as you grow.
