Overview Introduction: Permanent Part Time - 15 hours per week. Salary: $70,352 - $76,214 per annum pro rata (plus 12% super and annual pay increases). Description Join Surf Coast Shire Councils Waste Management team, a recognised leader in waste services across Victoria. Our team plays a vital role in keeping our communities clean, safe and sustainable by delivering kerbside collections, operating transfer stations and landfills, supporting resource recovery, and educating the community on waste reduction. As a Gatehouse and Transfer Station Attendant, you will be on the frontline of these operations, helping ensure our sites run safely, efficiently and in line with environmental and regulatory requirements while providing a positive experience for every customer who visits. While you will be stationed at our Anglesea Landfill and Transfer Station, at times you will be required to assist with operations at other council waste disposal sites. Experience in Local Government. Demonstrated experience in the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people. Experience in customer service and computer software operations. Established knowledge of waste management operations. Experience in waste management/resource recovery operations. Assist with operations at other council waste disposal sites as required. Current Victorian drivers licence. A current Working With Children Check. You have the permanent right to live and work in Australia. Police Check results that are suitable for this position (will be arranged by Surf Coast Shire Council). A complete international criminal history check is required if the person has worked or lived overseas for any period of time OR a complete national criminal history check is required if the person has only ever worked in Australia. Desirable Qualifications, Experience And Requirements Front End Loader and Backhoe Certificates of Competency. Forklift License. First Aid & CPR Certificate.
