Personal Care Assistant / Worker Casual Newborough VIC 3825 Start timeframe: Immediately Job type: Casual Pay: Hourly About the Role We are seeking a compassionate, reliable Personal Care Assistant to join an on-demand workforce serving Newborough and surrounding areas. This casual role offers flexible hours and meaningful work supporting clients with daily living activities, mobility assistance, personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, and companionship. Ideal candidates have a car, a full Australian driver''s license, and clear police and working with children checks. Key Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing. Support mobility and transfers, using safe manual handling techniques and mobility aids as required. Prepare and serve nutritious meals and assist with feeding where necessary. Provide medication reminders and follow care plans developed by supervisors and health professionals. Offer companionship, engage in social activities, and support community participation. Maintain accurate records of care, report changes in client condition, and follow privacy and confidentiality protocols. Essential Criteria Access to a reliable car and willingness to travel locally for shifts. Full Australian Drivers License with a clean driving history. Current and valid Police Check and Working with Children Check. Previous experience in personal care, disability support, aged care, or a related field is highly regarded. Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to follow care plans, adapt to client needs, and maintain professional boundaries.
