With facilities in Mulwala NSW and Bendigo VIC, all modular buildings are designed and built to high standards with a focus on quality.Due to a substantial increase in workflow and an expanding pipeline, we are seeking a Qualified Carpenter to join our team in Bendigo, VIC. You should be a confident, detail-oriented individual who is ready to thrive in a busy setting.QualificationsConstruction Induction Card (White Card)Current Drivers LicenceSkills requiredProficient knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods including framing, lock up, fix, cladding & decking work (highly regarded)Physically fit and able to perform the physical requirements of the roleComprehensive knowledge of building methods, processes, and materialsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectivelyAbility to follow and drive for procedure improvements & efficienciesA positive and solution driven mindsetStrong work ethic and a willingness to help others within a teamPersonal pride in the quality of your work and strong attention to detailConfidence to work independentlyAbility to meet required deadlinesA good understanding of the building/manufacturing industry (desirable but not essential)ResponsibilitiesTake pride in the quality of workmanship.Ensure compliance with the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and all Occupational Health & Safety requirements.Maintain clean and organised work areas.Provide guidance and support to apprentices when required.Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects.Carry out qualified carpentry activities and building maintenance activities.Complete building activities with regard to minimising waste or damage and ensuring the return of any excess material.Inspect products and materials for conformity to operating standards prior to utilisation.Organise materials, equipment, and other resources to timely and efficiently complete construction activities.Consult with the Construction Supervisor and Quality Control Officer to ensure all construction variations are completed.Complete documentation and accurate recording of time and materials; utilise technology for proper reporting.Implement quality control techniques and contribute to quality improvements.Safeguard YMH property including tools, consumables, machinery and vehicles from theft or damage.Complete non-trade or administration activities as directed while ensuring administrative processes are not impaired.Apply time management skills to ensure work is completed to time requirements and production schedules.Prioritise and sequence tasks to meet production and company demands.Evaluate actions and make improvements as needed.RemunerationRemuneration will be based on qualifications and experienceOpportunities for career progression & upskillingSubsidised gym membershipRegular staff social eventsMonthly BBQsWork/Life balance working hours 7:00am 3:30pmMonthly RDOsFree annual Flu Shot (personal choice)Weekly wages - on time every timeIf you believe you have the drive, skills, experience and motivation to excel in this role, please apply with your current resume and cover letter detailing your experience and suitability.
