We are committed to producing accessible food, supporting communities, and delivering strong economic results, all while prioritising sustainability to ensure a prosperous, healthy planet for future generations.The RoleTassal is looking for a reliable, physically fit, and motivated Casual Processing Attendant to join our Offload team. This physically demanding role is based at our Dover processing site, located 1 hour and 30 minutes south of Hobart. This is a night shift role (6pm start time) with the shift length (6-8 hours) dependent on the daily volume of fish. Your work is crucial to the first stage of our processing operation, supporting the efficient and safe receipt of our harvest. The ideal candidate will be a true team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced, wet environment at night, with the physical capability to meet the demands of the role.ResponsibilitiesAssisting with the offloading of fish from the harvest transport.Safely operating a forklift (essential requirement) to move materials and equipment.Cleaning the offload area and equipment as required.Preparing bins and liners for production.Assisting with quality and label checks.Manual tasks including shovelling ice, lifting bin lids, and pushing bins.Maintaining a strong focus on safety and hygiene at all times.Role RequirementsEssential: A valid forklift ticket and proven experience.Experience working in a wet, industrial, or fast-paced environment.Experience working night shifts.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Strong reliability, punctuality, and a proactive work ethic.The physical fitness required for a very physically demanding role involving manual handling.
