Lets get straight to the details In this key role you will be responsible for leading and managing all Finance functions, as the most senior finance expert within the Lifetime Support Authority (LSA). You will be responsible for the design, implementation and management of systems, analysis, governance, policies, processes, monitoring, and reporting related to our financial operations, in order to achieve prudent financial management of the Lifetime Support Scheme (LSS) fund. This includes oversight of significant longterm investments and actuarially modelled liabilities, integration of complex financial systems, the delivery of insurancelike financial, budget, and accounting functions, and oversight of a growing volume of accounts payable. Importantly, you will have a leadership style that is collaborative, strategic and peoplefocused, which will enable you to provide leadership, coaching and direction to a team of ten, diverse finance professionals. Being a small agency, you will be involved in everything from the handson, daytoday work, to advising Executives with strategic level future planning. You will also be leading the delivery of key, complex financial projects. These include overseeing LSAs implementation of the whole of government Finance Reform Programme (FRP) replacing the legacy Masterpiece system with Oracle, and the transition to AASB17 accounting standards. The experience we are looking for Extensive experience in leading and managing medium to large, diverse teams including the performance and development of staff, determining operational policies and procedures, setting goals and achieving agreed outcomes. Extensive experience in determining and delivering financial management strategies and delivering an organisations finance, budget and accounting functions, systems, services, monitoring, reporting obligations and advice to Executive. Experience with identifying the requirements for, and leading the delivery of complex transformational projects. Detailed knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, relevant government policies and procedures relating to financial management including legislation, standards, codes, policies and instructions from Government. For example AASB17 accounting standards and Treasurers Instructions. Proven ability to research and analyse complex strategic, operational and technical issues to support bestpractice financial management and highlevel organisational performance. Remuneration MAS3 ($127,859) + Superannuation. This role is being advertised during an enterprise bargaining process that may result in updated salaries.
