Permanent role based in Onslow relocation assistance available Subsidised housing and airconditioning allowance included Base Wage $90,974 with a total remuneration package of approximately $151,000$170,000 (inclusive of base salary, single location allowance, notional overtime & standby allowance) plus superannuation, travel allowance and housing assistance. About the role As a Senior Treatment Process Operator, youll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our desalination plant. Youll be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and optimising the reverse osmosis and associated treatment processes that convert seawater into highquality drinking water. Working both independently and as part of a skilled team, youll oversee daily plant operations, conduct waterquality testing, troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards. This handson role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering reliable water services to the community. What you can expect with this role Operate and monitor desalination processes (RO/UF and associated systems) in compliance with water quality and production targets Conduct routine inspections, testing and adjustments to optimise plant performance Perform planned maintenance and troubleshooting of pumps, valves, membranes, instrumentation and supporting equipment Conduct water samples to ensure compliance within water quality standards Maintain accurate records of operational data, maintenance activities and safety checks Respond to alarms, troubleshoot issues and perform corrective actions Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the plant and surrounding areas Collaborate with other operators and technical staff to optimise plant performance Your skills and experience Experience in complex process plant operation ideally in desalination, water treatment or similar industries (essential) Certificate III or IV in Water Industry Operations (or equivalent) desirable Strong understanding of water quality standards and environmental regulations Ability to interpret P&IDs, technical drawings and SCADA systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good problemsolving and mechanical aptitude Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting Sound like a match?
