Education Assistant Mainstream Branch: Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School Division: Independent Public School - Goldfields Education Region Salary: Level 1/2, $ per hour Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time Location: Kalgoorlie Closing Date: 2026-02-09 4:30 PM This is a 6 month fixed term, full-time position commencing as soon as possible with possible extension and/or permanency. The school''s committed student services team ensures excellent pastoral care and monitoring of students, with a dedicated student services coordinator and officer working closely with each year group. Dynamic teaching staff offer engaging delivery of both main curriculum areas and a diverse range of subjects and programs catering for students with a variety of interests and needs. The Role As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you should assist in the delivery of planned education programs that will help in the development of young minds. Ideally, you will collaborate and work in a team environment. Education Assistants should possess good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to enable the implementation of individual or small group programs, as well as the ability to support the general health and well-being of students. You will be organised and use your initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment. Working under teacher direction in a diverse role, you will also provide support to ensure the learning environment is inclusive and relevant with health and safety of students a high priority. Managing student behaviour in accordance with school policies and programmes is an important aspect of this role.
