ABOUT THE ROLE: We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join our APAC logistics team. This role is responsible for timely and accurate coordination of GMA''s import and export shipping activities, covering our packaged garnet products within the APAC region, and our global loose bulk shipments to our global processing facilities. This role ensures all bookings, documentation, compliance requirements and shipping tracking are completed in a timely and professional manner to ensure reliable product availability for internal and external customers. Responsibilities will include: Coordinate loose bulk and containerised shipments with internal teams, shipping agents, freight forwarders, and carriers to meet customer and compliance requirements. Prepare, review, and manage all shipping documentation (e.g., Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, insurance documents) ensuring accuracy and adherence to international trade, customs, and quarantine regulations. Track and monitor shipments end-to-end, update internal systems with voyage details, and proactively communicate delays or risks to stakeholders. Resolve routine shipment issues such as customs holds or container availability and maintain accurate shipping records and KPIs (e.g., transit times, documentation accuracy, schedule adherence). Audit and process shipment-related invoices and freight recoveries to maintain accurate landed costs. Maintain and update shipping rates and related databases, ensuring cost efficiency and minimising expenses associated with documentation or booking changes WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Certificate, Diploma, or relevant training in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or Business (preferred but not essential) 3+years experience in loose bulk shipment coordination (containerised freight experience beneficial) Experience with ERP systems (Netsuite and SAP highly regarded) Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general data management Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Excellent organisational and time-management skills Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks Clear written and verbal communication skills Problem-solving ability for routine logistical and documentation issues WHAT WE OFFER YOU: At GMA, we respect and care for the whole you supporting all facets of wellbeing so you can show up at your best and thrive.
