You''ll take the reins on budgeting and forecasting across the Group, building sophisticated financial models that directly influence the company''s direction. You''ll take on a range of challenges, from delivering commercial feasibility analysis with prospective vendors and partners, to business partnering with Growth and Marketing to analyse customer acquisition efficiency, to scoping out the potential financial performance of future product and market expansions. The role is suited to someone that is motivated to conduct their own data analytics, loves tackling complex issues and can generate actionable insights, and has expertise in creating financial models and systems that will scale as Zeller continues to expand.Financial Modelling & ForecastingOwn the budgeting & forecasting process for Group financials, with oversight across the entire P&LCreation and enhancement of financial models for three-way financial statement forecastingAssist Treasury in preparing detailed cashflow forecasts and identify areas to optimise the investment of Zeller''s liquidityConduct benchmarking analysis against competitors and identify areas of opportunityUnderstand the drivers of our cost base and forecast with a high degree of accuracyFinancial Planning & ReportingPreparation of monthly performance deep divesAssist in delivering the annual financial plan, digesting complex financial data and then creating a well-crafted financial narrative for internal stakeholdersAnalyse and assess the financial performance of the Group across all three financial statementsWork with department heads to plan our hiring requirementsLeverage data from various sources to build visualisations and reporting dashboards to aid in performance analysis across the companyBusiness Performance Deep Dive & Commercial AnalysisAssess Zeller''s performance across all products and departments and come up with insights and recommendations that can be brought to leadershipProvide sensitivity and scenario analysis to support the business in making commercial decisions for vendor selectionPartner with Growth & Marketing departments to analyse customer acquisition and marketing channel efficiencyConduct market sizing and market entry modeling for new product & market launchesUse data analytics to help identify any opportunities and support stakeholders in their decision making of their respective areasSkills and experienceBachelor''s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Analytics, or related fieldAt least 2 years of experience in FP&A, Accounting, or Finance Business Partner rolesHighly skilled in Microsoft Excel, and has experience building financial models from scratchAbility to work autonomously and loves to take ownership over problemsIs proactive and self-motivated, with a knack for transforming complex data into compelling narrativesCan communicate complex ideas and problems to a wide range of stakeholdersWilling to self-serve their own data analytics requirementsA problem solver and methodical thinkerDisciplined and organisedBonus pointsProficiency in SQLCA/CPA/CFA qualificationExperience in working within a high-growth/startup environmentPrior experience in Financial Services and/or Payments industryPrior experience in management consultingHow we workAt Zeller, we thrive on the energy and fast pace that comes from in-person collaboration and this role is based in our Melbourne CBD office with a general expectation of 4 days on-site per week with an option of 1 day WFH.
