We are excited to be opening a new onsite caf at Bendigo TAFE, offering a unique opportunity to be part of something meaningful from the very beginning.Our ideal person will help set-up the caf, co-ordinate and inspire our team of caf staff & Disability Support Workers to provide and deliver the highest levels of customer and hospitality service at our Pathways to Possibilities Learning Hub Caf.About youAs a Caf Coordinator you will be responsible to assist in the hiring of new staff, train & develop your team, and support the daily operations of the caf to be a central place for good food & coffee all while helping your local community live more independent lives.You will have strong local community connections and networks to engage and enlist NDIS participants to join the program.Furthermore, you will also supervise and provide hands-on mentoring to young people participating in our trainee program to build their self-confidence, barista and customer service skills and employability qualities. This position will ultimately support NDIS participants develop their personal & professional skills that will improve their independence and chances of securing employment.An incredibly rewarding opportunity for a hospitality professional to grow into another industry supporting & mentoring individuals with a disability.Key requirementsDemonstrated awareness of current industry trends, and opportunities for people with disabilities.Experience in opening & operating cafes and or hospitality venues from start upConfidence in training both within the coffee industry & general hospitalityKnowledge of complex conditions that impact on people with disabilities, and their carers, and the capacity to keep up to date with best practice guidelines.Experience in managing staff and people.Knowledge of carelink and or similar related programsA sound knowledge and confidence of utilizing technology such as AI and related programs to assist in day-to-day operations of a caf siteWell-developed problem-solving skills with the ability to take initiative to meet customers needs with available resources.Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective business & personal relationships.Flexible approach and ability to effectively prioritise and coordinate multiple diverse tasks concurrently.Demonstrated success in leading and influencing others towards progressive and innovative ways of responding to individual needs.Valid Victorian Driver Licence,NDIS Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)Level 1 Safe Food Handling certificate, Food Safety Supervisor CertificateCurrent First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)If you have the skills and passion required for this diverse role, please APPLY NOW we would love to hear from you.
