Overview Pony Design Co. is an Interior Design studio based in Sydneys Inner West. We specialise in crafting high-performing spaces across the Hospitality, Retail, Wellness and Commercial sectors, with a strong focus on integrating business strategy and branding into interior experiences. We are a small team of four (including our Director) and are now looking for our next forever person to join us as a Senior Interior Designer. We are inviting expressions of interest for a Senior Interior Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone experienced in project delivery, ready for the next step in their career and looking to become a long-term, valued and integral member of our studio. You will be involved in every stage of a project from initial client engagement and briefing, through to documentation and delivery. You will work closely with the Director and the design team and must be confident managing a variety of projects at once. At Pony Design Co., we actively support growth. Who You Are Key Aspects of the Role Taking the lead on larger projects, including hands-on design responsibilities. Leading engaging Design Presentations for clients and stakeholders. Supporting and guiding Mid-Level Designers on smaller projects with project delivery guidance. Ensuring projects are delivered to scope, on time and within budget, in line with proposals. Managing expectations and communication with external stakeholders. Contributing positively to our culture of care, growth, dedication and fun. Becoming someone the team and our partners trust a reliable communicator and proactive problem solver. Qualifications 8+ years post-graduate industry experience in Hospitality, Retail, Wellness or Commercial design within Australia (ideally all). A minimum of 2 years as a Project Leader, managing deliverables and internal resources. Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills. A portfolio demonstrating design capability, documentation strength and personal aesthetic. Proficiency in ArchiCAD (or Revit with willingness to transition to ArchiCAD). Strong technical documentation and detailing skills. Confidence in hand-sketching and visual communication. PC-based workflow experience (not Mac). Knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC/BCA Codes. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Outlook. A passion for design and a positive, enthusiastic attitude. A good sense of humour. A full Australian Drivers Licence. Ability to travel for interstate projects as required. A desire to grow within a driven, supportive small team looking for our next long-term team member. Salary is dependent on experience.
