This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished finance leader with deep management accounting and business partnering expertise to shape ASIC''s long-term budget strategy and uplift financial capability across the organisation.ResponsibilitiesLead ASIC''s organisation wide budget strategyProvide strategic advice on complex financial mattersLocation Sydney and Canberra preferred, other locations consideredApplications close at 11:59pm AEDT, Friday 13 February 2026As Head of Budget Strategy and Business Partnering, provide strategic leadership of ASIC''s internal and external budget functions and oversee the organisation''s finance business partnering modelPlay a pivotal role in ensuring ASIC''s resources are aligned with strategic priorities, while delivering trusted advice and insights to senior executives, the Commission, and external stakeholdersYou Will Lead a High Performing Team Responsible ForProviding strategic financial advice on complex issues across ASIC.Leading end to end financial management, including forecasting, reporting, expenditure reviews, and advising on budget risks and anomalies.Preparing ASIC''s annual budget and forward estimates, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy.Leading the development and implementation of ASIC''s long-term budget framework.Overseeing ASIC''s departmental external budget submissions, building relationships with central agencies, and leading the coordination of New Policy Proposals.Defining and driving ASIC''s finance business partnering service to uplift financial confidence and maturity across the organisation.Championing continuous improvement to enhance service delivery and financial processes.This role is central to ASIC''s financial leadership and requires someone who can influence, collaborate and deliver outcomes across a complex stakeholder landscape.About YouYou are an experienced senior finance leader, recognised for your expertise in management accounting, budgeting, and business partnering. Your sound judgement and strategic mindset enable you to transform complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for executives. You excel at guiding teams through periods of change and managing competing priorities.
