This is a significant project for both the Australian Government and Roy Morgan, and this is your chance to be part of the action. The International Visitors Survey (IVS) is a continuous survey that collects data on the travel behavior, destinations and spending of international visitors to Australia. We capture survey data by asking respondents a series of questions about their trip to Australia. This data feeds into the Australian National Accounts and contributes to the estimates of the national economy and helps drive the future of Australias tourism industry. As a Field Research Officer, you will undertake professional and accurate data collection of the public with neutrality by asking questions and gathering respondent responses. There is also some administration to ensure all records are accurate and up to date. For this project, you will be based at Australian international airports (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Darwin, Cairns, Gold Coast). You need to be comfortable engaging with people both helping them understand the importance and benefits of participating in the survey and asking scripted survey questions. You will engage with people from all walks of life and be able to enjoy the flexibility of working independently and managing your own workload. At Roy Morgan there are plenty of opportunities to work on a range of projects. As the IVS project is now live, we are currently seeking people to join the team on this and other ongoing projects. We are looking for people who are committed to at least 20 hours per week, including weekdays and weekends, following a set roster of shifts. Fulltime work for professional field research officers is also available.
