The successful Engineer/Draftsman will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, general assemblies and designs, supporting product development, and participating in collaborative engineering projects. Key tasks include interpreting technical specifications, assisting in problem-solving for engineering solutions, and contributing to process improvements. This role requires effective communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.QualificationsProficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with strong technical drawing and modelling skillsExperience in engineering design, product development, and process improvementAbility to analyse technical specifications and translate them into practical solutionsStrong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with clients, contractors, and team membersAn eye for detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomesBachelors degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Design, or a related fieldKnowledge or experience in the mining industryKey ResponsibilitiesThe primary function of this role is to assist the Engineering Manager and Engineering Lead in supporting all activities required to bring products to market, as well as providing ongoing aftermarket engineering support.Assist with the preparation and maintenance of production drawings.Support products through the production lifecycle, including occasional site visits for strain gauge testing and product inspections.Conduct field scanning to support the development of new products.Assist with engineering and production documentation, including packing lists, inspection reports, and related records.Support the Service Department by providing attachment installation information and technical guidance.Maintain a strong focus on safety and the wellbeing of yourself and others at all times.Provide required product files for CNC plate processing, including cutting, rolling, and bending.Prepare and maintain template drawings as required.Essential RequirementsMinimum of 3 years experience working as a Drafter or Design Engineer in an engineering, manufacturing, or mining environment.Medium-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Medium to high-level proficiency in engineering software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.Strong organisational and communication skills.Demonstrated commitment to Occupational Health and Safety practices, supported by relevant training.Ability to pass drug, alcohol, and medical examinations.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)KPIs will be set monthly in collaboration with the Engineering Manager and aligned with project requirements. These may include, but are not limited to:Engineering tasks scheduled, managed, and completed within agreed timeframes.Engineering drawings and the general library directory maintained accurately on the server.Identification of opportunities for improvement in engineering processes and production efficiency. #J-18808-Ljbffr
