Our team will review your application as roles become available and if we think your skills and experience are a good match, well be in touch with you regarding next steps in the process.As a Station Staff or Conductor, you are integral to the success of V/Lines Customer Group.Conductor roles are based onboard our trains and are primarily responsible for the safety of all those onboard. This position requires you to keep in constant communication with the driver via radio, stay up to date with passenger numbers boarding and alighting at each stop, and capture this data in various V/Line apps. Youll also administer first aid and spot clean the train as required, while providing exceptional customer service to every passenger.Station Staff are the first point of contact for our passengers. This hands-on role involves selling Mykis, making announcements, coordinating coach activities and de-escalating situations while ensuring excellent customer service. Youll need to remain vigilant for risks or hazards around the station, ensure the station is neatly presented and well maintained (including cleaning toilets and washing windows).Keep in mind that you will need to work a 24/7 rotating roster and, depending on scheduling and business needs, you may be required to sign on and work at various stations along the Shepparton line within 80km of your home depot.Key accountabilities include:Assist with ticketing, fare checking, and luggage handlingEnsure trains are ready for service, from cleanliness to functionalityWork through service disruptions and emergency situations with calm professionalismManage and report any equipment or facility issuesAbout YouA true customer service professional, you are punctual, reliable, energetic and your communication skills are second to none. Work in a way that supports you to thrive in your role.Remuneration and training: You will gain a Cert 3 in Customer Rail Operations across 3-4 weeks and then have an additional 2-3 weeks completing On-The-Job training. During training you will be on a Trainee Staff rate ($28.31 for Station Staff or $36.63 for Conductors). Once qualified your rate will be $43.75 for Station Staff or $48.94 for Conductor, plus super, loadings and penalty rates, in accordance with the current V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2023.We are committed to ensuring a comfortable and accessible recruitment experience.
