We are seeking a Full-Time Lead Veterinarian to join our team at Burpengary Vet. This role offers a flexible roster with a mix of consulting and surgical caseload to suit your interests and strengths. About Us Burpengary Vet is a brand-new, purpose-built clinic with a supportive and friendly team environment. On a daily basis, youll work alongside 56 veterinarians and 8 dedicated support staff, including an experienced nursing team and a dedicated reception team. Our caseload is wide and varied, providing excellent opportunities to grow your skills in both medicine and surgery. We actively encourage the development of special interests and are passionate about supporting continued learning and professional growth. What Youll Be Doing Day to Day As a Small Animal Veterinarian with us, no two days are the same. Your role will include: Managing a varied caseload across both medicine and surgery Mentoring, training, and supporting the GP veterinary team Undertaking line management responsibilities, including performance management and professional development Supporting the training and development of nursing and support teams Shaping and upholding best-practice standards in line with VetPartners advisory guidelines Driving clinical vision while aligning clinical priorities with business objectives Utilising advanced diagnostics, including digital radiography, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory equipment Delivering preventative healthcare such as vaccinations, parasite control, and routine wellness checks Educating and supporting pet owners while building strong, trusted client relationships Working collaboratively with a skilled nursing team and experienced veterinary colleagues Confidently managing emergency and critical cases as required Maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records to ensure continuity of care This is a role where youll be supported to grow your skills, share your ideas, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of pets and their families.
