In this role, you will assist in the preparation and service of nutritious, wholesome meals for residents and clients, in line with HACCP food safety requirements.**This is a shiftbased position, working 8am7pm on a rotating roster, including every second weekend.****A bit about your new role:*** Assist senior team members with planning, cooking, and preparing a full range of meals.* Participate in food operations, including cookfresh and cookchill processes.* Prepare and serve nutritious, wholesome meals with appropriate variety.* Order food supplies as required.* Prepare special and modified diets.* Prepare and serve meals for functions and events.**A bit about you:*** Experience in a catering or food service roleaged care or retirement living experience is desirable but not essential.* Ability to work effectively within a team and follow direction.* Strong communication skills.* Knowledge and experience with Food Safety requirements.* Previous experience in bulk cooking, preferably in aged care.* Understanding of quality systems related to catering services.* Ability to work according to roster requirements.**What we offer:*** Not-for-profit tax benefits - salary packaging of up to $15,900 per year.
