Head Chef / Creative Lead Own the Menu at a Premier Wine BarAt Knird, we are more than just a wine bar. We are a community hub in Crows Nest built on kindness, respect, and exceptional hospitality. We are seeking a Lead Chef to take full ownership of our kitchen.This is your opportunity to build a menu that makes your mark, in a supportive and professional environment, and to help shape the future of one of Crows Nest''s most highly regarded venues. You will work directly with the owner to deliver a menu that complements our curated and highly regarded wine list.What We OfferExcellent compensation: $80,000 base salary + super. You will also receive an equal share of all tips, which are pooled and distributed across the entire FOH and BOH team for each service.Worklife balance: A consistent TueSat roster to start. Closed Christmas, New Year & Easter. You lead by example and thrive in an open, guestfacing kitchen with a passion for clean, consistent, and beautiful food.Guest Experience: Engage confidently and warmly with guests, working closely with FOH to create a seamless dining experience.Passion: A genuine interest in wine (or a strong desire to learn) and a collaborative spirit.Reliability: You are looking for a longterm home where you can make your mark.Business Acumen: Understanding of GP, food costs, and supplier management.Logistics: Full Australian work rights and availability for a TuesdaySaturday schedule.
