What youll do: Implement and monitor Lufthansa Cargo handling processes at Ground Handling Agent level Inspect Ground Handling Agent services against contractual standards and report deviations Review service performance with Ground Handling Agent and initiate quality improvements Monitor subcontractor performance and request corrective actions Maintain and analyze statistical performance data Act as main contact for Ground Handling Agents in case of irregularities or escalations Ensure compliance with security and safety procedures Make operational decisions and act in emergencies when required Coach and develop Ground Handling Agent; supervise daily activities and conduct spot checks Monitor manpower usage, ensure required skill levels of the Ground Handling Agent Provide feedback to local management on performance and staffing Communicate operational updates and implement improvements when needed Behind the scenes Play a key role in keeping global air freight moving safely and on time! If you thrive on responsibility and aviation excites you - now and take off with us Requirements High school diploma/GED At least 5 years of experience in logistics, airfreight handling and/or operations Fluency in Italian and English Cargo industry knowledge with special reference to handling management, airport infrastructures and facilities Knowledge of cargo industry KPIs, with special reference to Cargo iQ dimensions Computer literacy with solid MS Office skills A customeroriented, committed, and reliable mindset with strong teamwork skills A valid drivers license Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as required Ability to perform well under time pressure and stress, including outdoor weather and noise exposure Nice to have Direct experience in operations or cargo handling at FCO airport Experience on handling of special shipments Fluency in German Knowledge of the Italian cargo industry and FCO airport facilities Knowledge or certifications for special cargo handling Qualification according to cargo handling and ground operations manuals Please submit your CV, cover letter, and relevant certifications with your application.
