Maintenance Officer | St Stephens Hospital Employment Term: Permanent Part Time Opportunity Available (4 days pw/32 hrs) Location: St Stephens Hospital, Hervey Bay, QLD Remuneration: $39.57 - $41.08 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay) Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and may result in the role closing early if the right applicant is found. Your part in our St Stephens team Required Maintenance Officers are responsible for a variety of preventative, scheduled and reactive requests to maintain and service UCH property, including buildings, grounds, infrastructure and equipment within the scope of their trade. Maintenance Officers will demonstrate a broad skillset to perform activities required and work individually or as part of a team. Work undertaken will be conducted to the highest standards of repair, presentation and hygiene. You will: Support with repairs, preventative maintenance and refurbishments General grounds upkeep, landscaping - overseeing any external contractors Develop and deliver Summer and Winter gardening programs General maintenance programs over the course of the year. What makes a difference for us? Experience in general building, plant and equipment maintenance Experience in gardening/landscape/grounds maintenance, including knowledge of herbicides, pesticides and safe work practices Relevant Trade Qualifications or Certificate in Facilities, Building or Construction Current Australian drivers license Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment What makes a difference for you?
