We have a further two care homes in development in London.We are passionate about our people; we seek out those who have a true vocation for care or hospitality.About the opportunityAs a Housekeeping / Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for:To support the Life Enriching Activity Lead/Life Enriching Activity Co-ordinators in the implementation of a whole home approach to the provision of meaningful occupation for all residents, taking a proactive attitude towards the engagement of all residents at all timesTo take responsibility for the completion of all daily housekeeping schedulesTo ensure all rooms and communal areas are clean, tidy, prepared, and presented to the highest standards set out by the departmental SOPsTo ensure trollies are restocked at the end of each shift and all cleaning equipment is stored in a tidy mannerTo deliver clean towels to the allocated room and to help keep clean and tidy all linen rooms and trolliesTo be responsible for the day-to-day management of laundry room whilst ensuring all uniforms and laundry supplies are cleaned to the highest standardsTo ensure compliance with instructions issued by the Head Housekeeper regarding the use of laundry equipment, materials and chemicalsTo ensure all laundry related queries are answered promptly and in a professional mannerTo undertake all laundry duties to the highest possible standardTo ensure resident satisfaction where possible and report any complaints to the Head Housekeeper immediatelyTo ensure that all residents and their family members feel at home in a comfortable, cared for, well maintained and impeccable environmentTo practice the correct use and care of all items of equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, trolleys, carpet cleaners and steam cleanersTo report any malfunction of equipment immediatelyTo ensure correct use of all cleaning agents on all surfaces as directedTo report any damage, wear and tear or maintenance issues arising in any of your working areas to the ManagerTo ensure that accidents or incidents are reported to the Hospitality ManagerTo comply with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulationsTo ensure residents rooms are presented to KYNs standards whilst respecting our residents wishesTo complete the opening/closing checklists on a daily basisTo utilise the resources within the department effectivelyTo collect and sort soiled and fouled linen into correct categoriesTo operate all laundry equipment safelyTo ensure all items are laundered, checking the labels for correct washing and ironing instructionsTo ensure all personal clothing items are clearly marked with the residents name, and if not, re-mark before returning to the residents roomTo sort and return laundered items to residents rooms or appropriate linen cupboardsTo make certain that the laundry equipment and laundry area is cleanTo replenish auto dosing detergents and additivesTo contribute towards the induction and training of new team membersTo be responsible for the health and safety of self, other team members, residents and visitors under the Health and Safety and infection control regulationsTo report any hazards or potential hazards to the person in charge or take other appropriate action within the remit of your training and knowledgeTo attend all statutory training sessions making certain that practices reflect the learning outcomes of the trainingTo always respond in a polite and professional manner to the residents and never enter a residents room without knockingTo ensure residents are treated with dignity, privacy, and respect at all times.To comply with KYNs dress code whilst on dutyTo adhere to all KYNs policies and proceduresAbout youYou will have experience in a similar roleYou will be a professional, who has a proven track record of delivering and maintaining standards at the highest levelYou will have strong communication skills, a corporative and politely manner, and an eye for detailYou will have the ability to work under pressure, flexible and consistentlyYou will be trustworthy, caring, adaptable, friendly and patient and continuingly striving for excellenceYou will be a compassionate, empathetic, kind, and caring individualAbout our commitment to youCompetitive salary and benefits33 days annual leave including bank holidaysComplimentary meals, hot drinks, and snacks throughout your shiftBespoke company induction and on-going training programmes at all levelsAccess to the best-in-class equipment and technologyCustom-made uniforms providedEmployee assistance programme and other attractive wellbeing benefitsDiscount schemesCompany contributory pension scheme & life insuranceAnd much moreTo find out more about KYN, our teams and values please visit www.kyn.co.uk/careersKYN is an equal opportunities employer.To be considered for this role you will have to provide proof of right to work in the UK and consent to an enhanced DBS check.To view our Privacy Policy, please visit #J-18808-Ljbffr
