We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded General Manager of Operations to lead and scale our remote hospitality and catering business. This is a senior leadership role responsible for operational excellence, financial performance, people leadership, and client outcomes across multiple remote sites. The role suits a hands-on operator with strong systems thinking, a calm leadership style, and a proven background in medium to large-scale hospitality or catering operations. About the Role The General Manager Operations is accountable for the end-to-end performance of our operational business units. This includes service delivery, safety, workforce management, cost control, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with executive leadership, site managers, and support teams to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes across geographically dispersed operations. This role is based in our HQ on the Gold Coast, with regular travel to operational sites across Australia, as required. Key Responsibilities Lead all operational functions across remote hospitality and catering sites, ensuring consistent service standards and continual compliance Drive financial performance, including overseeing budgets, margins and cost optimisation Oversee workforce strategy, including recruitment, retention, leadership development, and succession planning Ensure food safety, WHS, and compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and company standards Build strong client relationships, acting as senior point of escalation and ensuring service excellence Implement and improve systems and processed to support scalability, efficiency, and quality outcomes Lead and mentor senior site and field supervisors, fostering accountability and high-performance culture Manage operational risk, including workforce, supply chain, and remote site challenges Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and new contracts Use data and reporting to drive insight, performance improvement, and decision-making About You Proven senior operational hands-on leadership experience in hospitality, catering, facilities management, or remote services is advantageous Demonstrated success managing multi-site or remote operations at scale Strong commercial acumen with experience with budgets and P&Ls Deep understanding of food safety, WHS, and compliance frameworks Highly developed people leadership skills with the ability to lead through others Calm, resilient, and solutions-focused under pressure with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Comfortable working within a small team, whilst cross-pollinating and collaboration where possible Willingness and ability to travel to remote sites as required as part of our commitment to felt leadership across Australia Relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality, business, or management preferred Minimum 810 years experience in senior operational leadership role with experience within remote, regional, or contract-based service environments highly regarded What We Offer Senior leadership role with genuine influence and autonomy Competitive salary package + benefits & incentives for the right candidate Join our Rockstar community, driving positive change and shaping the future of remote hospitality in Australia!
