About the Role Reporting to the CEO, the Chief People Officer leads the transformation and cultural reset of IBA''s People, Performance & Culture function. As a trusted executive leader, the CPO drives culturally safe, high-performance people practices, oversees workforce strategy and governance, and leads complex organisational change. This role supports and strengthens the PPC team while partnering with leaders to build capability, confidence and long-term organisational resilience. Key Duties Provide executive leadership to the People, Performance & Culture function, leading a multidisciplinary team across Australia. Lead the rebuild and transformation of IBA''s people and culture capability, embedding culturally safe, high-performance practices. Partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to shape workforce strategy, organisational design and leadership capability. Drive and steward complex organisational and transformational change initiatives, ensuring consultation, engagement and follow-through. Oversee core people functions including recruitment, workforce planning, employee and industrial relations, learning and development, payroll and HR governance. Champion Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership, cultural safety and workforce participation across the organisation. Ensure HR frameworks, policies, systems and reporting meet legislative, governance and business requirements. Build trust and credibility across the business, supporting leaders and teams with confident, decisive advice and guidance. Skills & Requirements Senior executive experience leading a people, performance or culture function in a complex organisation. Proven ability to lead organisational rebuilds, transformation and change at scale. Strong cultural authority and experience embedding culturally safe, high-performance workplaces. Confidence advising at Executive and Board level, balancing cultural leadership with governance and business outcomes. Extensive experience across workforce strategy, IR, HR governance, policy and workforce reporting. Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influence skills. Experience in government, statutory authorities or regulated environments. Relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications and professional accreditation. Experience leading HR systems implementation and enterprise people processes.
