Job Title Principal Level P2 - Broken Hill North Public School (0000B4DM) Location Regional NSW Remuneration Total remuneration package: $217,879.00. Base salary: $192,461.00. School Information Broken Hill North Public School (BHNPS) is located in the Far West of NSW and is one of six local primary schools in Broken Hill. The school community is committed to providing students with a broad and inclusive education that explicitly teaches essential skills and knowledge with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy, ensuring equitable access for all learners. The school offers a diverse range of educational opportunities designed to differentiate for each student in reaching their full potential, with a particular focus on fostering High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE). Our approach upholds high expectations for both staff and students, promoting a culture of excellence, respect, and continuous growth. Each student is encouraged to take pride in their own culture while appreciating the culture of others. Broken Hill North Public School is classified as P2 with a current enrolment of 200 students. The structure of the school comprises 6 support classes, 8 mainstream classes, 33% Aboriginal enrolment. Staff at the school are a mixture of experienced and newly appointed teachers. The staff have a strong focus on collaboration supported by high impact professional learning. The school is supported by an Aboriginal Education Officer, Aboriginal School Learning Support Officer (SLSO) and mainstream SLSOs. The school has a strong student wellbeing culture. BHNPS has a health hub utilised by a range of outside agencies. The school also operates a breakfast club. Proven leadership in cultivating a professional learning culture that drives continuous staff development and wellbeing, through evidence-based programs that enhance teaching and student outcomes that build a motivated, high-performing team. Substantial ability to build authentic partnerships with students, parents, staff, and the wider communityincluding meaningful engagement with Aboriginal communities and AECGto strengthen educational collaboration and improve learning, wellbeing, and Closing the Gap outcomes in a K6 setting. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department''s Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
