About the Role: We are seeking an exceptional Executive Director People, Culture and Safety (EDPCS) to join the Executive Leadership Team of a high-performing regional health service with a strong reputation for innovation, quality care and community connection. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the EDPCS provides strategic and operational leadership across a broad and influential portfolio, including: Human Resources Occupational Health, Safety and Wellbeing Medical Workforce Education, Training and Research Workforce Accommodation and related initiatives The role has executive oversight of key workforce and organisational strategies, including the Workforce Plan, Aboriginal Employment Plan, Reconciliation Action Plan, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy, Learning and Development Strategy and Occupational Health and Safety Strategy, among others. Key Accountabilities: Provide strategic leadership to the People, Culture and Safety portfolio, ensuring alignment with the health services strategic plan, values and community expectations. Foster a strong, inclusive and values-led culture that promotes psychological safety, wellbeing, accountability and high performance across the organisation. Provide executive oversight of industrial relations and workforce governance, including enterprise bargaining, compliance, risk management and constructive union engagement. Oversee education, training and research functions to support workforce capability, clinical excellence, and partnerships with academic and training institutions. Provide the CEO, Executive and Board with accurate, timely and meaningful reporting on workforce performance and the operational performance of the division. Ensure a robust and proactive approach to occupational health and safety, injury management and workforce wellbeing, embedding safety as a core organisational value. About you: You are an experienced and highly regarded people leader with a broad strategic vision and the ability to adapt confidently within complex, dynamic environments. You bring a strong understanding of healthcare or similarly regulated organisations, where compliance, legislation and governance are critical to safe and effective operations. You are comfortable operating at executive and board level, translating strategy into practical outcomes while navigating competing priorities, regulatory obligations and workforce challenges. Your leadership style is inclusive, values-led and collaborative, with a demonstrated ability to build trust, influence diverse stakeholders and foster high-performing teams. Why Work at ERH?
