Full-timeState: TASJob Status: Part TimeCompany DescriptionWelcome to Ability Action Australia!Welcome to Ability Action Australia, where we help NDIS participants (065 years) get more out of life, more independence, more confidence, more growth, more wins.Every day, we''re in the community helping people do life better... and honestly, it feels pretty epic.Job DescriptionThe Role (AKA: The Hero Cape You''ll Be Wearing)As a Part Time -Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you''ll be a supporter, a strategist, a behaviour detective and occasionally the person who teaches everyone to breathe again after a meltdown.You''ll be doing things like:Evaluating, developing & delivering evidencebased support plansCreating meaningful goals using a positive behaviour support frameworkBuilding capacity in the people who support our participants, families, carers, friends, support workersWorking alongside a brilliant multidisciplinary teamChampioning the reduction (and elimination!) of restrictive practicesAnd, because we like to keep it real This is NOT a stepping stone job to becoming a psychologist. It''s a meaningful, legitimate, highly skilled career all on its own.If you want to be a Psychologist one day? Amazing. But PBS is not the warmup act. It''s its own headline show.You''ll thrive with us if you:Live in or very close to Devonport or Wynyard TasmaniaHave a degree in OT, Speech Pathology, Social Work (or Allied Health, preferred)Have experience creating, implementing & reviewing behaviour support plansHold NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner status (suitable, core, proficient, advanced or specialist)BUT, if you do NOThold a BSP registration?
