About the roleThe City of Coffs Harbour has multiple opportunities for experienced Leading Hands to join our Water and Wastewater Services Team. The Leading Hand will be responsible for their team, ensuring works are delegated appropriately and allocated tasks are managed to make the best use of plant, materials, time, and resources. As a Leading Hand, you''ll play an important role in operating, maintaining, and constructing the City''s sewerage infrastructure. Your leadership will help us deliver high levels of service to our community members while fostering a positive and proactive team. You have a strong understanding of Work Health and Safety practices, and a proactive approach to improving work methods, and the capacity to participate in an afterhours oncall roster when required.Essential Requirements:Experience in construction, maintenance, repairs and operation of sewers and other relevant infrastructure including the laying of sewers and cutting in junctions.Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or equivalent qualificationMR licenceNational Construction Induction Training Certificate (White card).Confined SpacesWorking at HeightsWorking near overhead powerlinesWhat''s on offer?Competitive Salary (from $64,521.76 - $66,494.97) depending on your capabilities and experience + 12% superannuation + On Call Allowance + Live Sewer AllowancePermanent Full Time 38 hours per weekOptions to accrue RDO''s and flexible working arrangements.Generous leave entitlements - long service leave after 5 years.Scope for performance-based salary increases.Numerous benefits as outlined here!About usThe City of Coffs Harbour strives to ensure the community and visitors can enjoy and grow the City''s opportunities.
