In this role, you will be supporting the Cellar Door Manager & Brookland Valley & Houghton Team to deliver exceptional wine experiences to our visitors and showcasing some of the finest wines in our portfolio.This position is a casual position. You will be employed on an hourly basis, with your specific hours to be determined by the needs of the businessKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver an exceptional customer experience to cellar door customers, acting as tour guide, experience host and tasting guideOperate the cash register, including daily opening, closing and balancing dutiesPromote our wine club membership to visitors and sign-up new membersUndertake daily housekeeping duties to maintain the cellar door appearanceRestock the cellar door and stock roomPick, pack and dispatch wine orders for customersUndertake basic food preparation and serve foodPrepare and serve barista coffeesGrow our premium member data base and sales by promoting inhouse activities and our portfolio through telephone marketingSupport the Cellar Door Manager to host events that showcase our historic Cellar Door and portfolio.What You''ll BringBehavioural CompetenciesStrong understanding and passion for wine and the winemaking processAbility to portray stories to others both wine and historyExceptional customer service skillsAbility to work in a diverse teamRequired Qualifications & ExperienceExperience in a cellar door or the wine industry (highly desirable)Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently and with a teamWSET Level 2 (desirable)Responsible Service of Alcohol training (RSA)Knowledge of safe food preparation and handling (desirable)Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft suit and EDM software (desirable)Physical & Other RequirementsMust have drivers LicenceThis role involves occasional lifting of heavy objectsFrequent manual handling of glassware for polishingRegular weekday and weekend work is requiredWhy Join Us?Vinarchy is a home for passionate people to do their very best work.
