You will be working mainly the breakfast shift sometimes preparing & serving food for the hotel buffet breakfast and assisting in food prep for Distrikt Press caf and our all-day dining menu or assisting with conferences or dinner as required. Other shifts will be kitchen hand shifts on busy days and also F&B shifts.This is a great role for someone studying cookery and wanting some experience in a kitchen or for an experienced cook wanting some extra hours.Key responsibilities include but not limited to:Prepare, cook and serve food for the breakfast buffet showing variety and flairEnsure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage following stock control proceduresResponsible to wash all dishes and equipment during and end of shiftEnsure Food Safety protocols are followedKeep all working areas clean and tidy. Cook is required to wash all dishes during serviceEnsure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned.
