Based in Melbourne or Adelaide, you will be the subject matter expert for enabling operational excellence enterprise-wide and shaping our transformation strategy. You will lead innovation, identify inefficiencies and pursue sustainable improvements. By building trust, credibility and delivering practical solutions to strategic priorities, you will work closely with teams across the business while advising executive leadership on best transformation practice.What you''ll be doingAct as trusted senior advisor on continuous improvement frameworks and methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, Human-Centered Design).Lead identification, scoping and delivery of improvement initiatives across the business, with focus on operational/generation sites.Design and embed business improvement frameworks, governance and reporting structures.Coach and mentor at all levels from C-suite to frontline teams.Build capability through training, workshops and communities of practice.Guide and onboard BI specialists as we scale the team.Be a leader in innovation, question existing processes and identify opportunities to improve.Establish automation to remove manual intervention.Advise on change management integration and stakeholder engagement strategies.What you''ll bringTertiary qualification in Business, Engineering or related field.Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (essential).Significant experience in business improvement or operational excellence.Relevant industry experience in energy, generation, construction or operations.Experience in embedding improvement frameworks in complex environments.Experience with collaborative innovation and bringing in fresh perspectives.Exceptional stakeholder management and facilitation skills.Strategy development and implementation experience.Inclusion at AGLAt AGL, we value diversity and welcome applicants from various backgrounds, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, individuals with disabilities, culturally diverse individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
