Alder is expanding our team in Ballina and we are looking to recruit a Project Manager to join our commercial build team. Ballina Shire is located in the Northern Rivers region of NSW. It is home to some of the most beautiful uncrowded beaches and national parks and you''ll find plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy all things nature when you live in Ballina.The successful candidate will be working on a diverse range of commercial construction projects ranging from $5m - $30m across Northern NSW. If you are an enthusiastic and driven individual looking for a supportive, family feel culture to grow your career, be quick and apply now!About the roleManage all head contract claims (variations, extensions or time, progress etc.) and alert division manager/commercial manager of any claims which may put project at risk.Prepare monthly project reports in relation to all financial aspects for presentation to division managers with assistance from Contracts AdministratorManage Contract and Constructions ProgramApproval and sign off on invoicing with limits of authorityMaintain a positive and proactive working environment for staff and subcontractorsParticipate in regular HSEQ inspectionsReview project documentation and identify ahead of works being carried out if there are any potential defects and/or project delays.Provide support and assistance to estimating team to help procure work as required by division managersFoster good working relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliersReview, understand and have input to all subcontractor and supplier scope of works/programmes prior to issuePeruse in detail all project drawings, specification and all other relevant documentation prior to project commencement and throughout project duration.Organise and chair project start up meetingsIdentify, monitor and manage key project risksClient managementAbout You - Skills and ExperienceRelevant tertiary qualification highly preferable or as a minimum, a relevant trade background supported by demonstrated performance in a similar role5+ year experience as a Project Manager within the Building and Construction SectorExcellent communication skillsWillingness to lead and motivate team membersHigh attention to detailBe able to work collaboratively in a team environmentHigh level of digital proficiencyCommitment and understanding of the importance of time and financial goalsJobpac and Procore experience highly desirableAbout the businessHere at Alder Constructions we have a diverse portfolio of works to our name and deliver outstanding and award-winning results across the infrastructure, education, retail, commercial, hospitality, industrial, manufacturing and community sectors.From project inception through to handover, our work is high quality, good value and safe all thanks to our great team which you could be part of!What we offerPermanent full-time positionA competitive remuneration package.Healthy minds and bodies a confidential employee assistance programWe live by our values of ensuring sustainability, supporting diversity, striving for innovation and seeking to provide a challenge that stimulates our teams every day. #J-18808-Ljbffr
