All Saints Grammar is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher - Learning Support, to join our Learning Services team. This full-time role will involve providing tailored academic support and guidance to students in Years 7 through 12.About our schoolAll Saints Grammar is a co-educational school located in inner South West Sydney, catering for students from PreKinder to Year 12. While we continue to strive for excellence, we are pleased to offer an environment where people feel valued, respected and motivated to do their best work.Responsibilities of the roleAssisting with the development, implementation and evaluation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with high learning needs (both support and extension)Identifying resources and implanting effective strategies to create learning and social opportunities for students with learning needsProviding specialist teaching to students on a one-to-one or small group basis as appropriateAssists with the implementation of special provisions processes for student assessment purposes in Years 7-12Making appropriate adjustments to assessment tasks in consultation with class/subject teachers for students with learning needsAssessing student skills and literacy and numeracy levels using a range of assessment tools depending on the needs of the studentAssisting classroom teachers with the early identification of students with learning disabilities or those considered to be ''at risk'' of developing learning disabilitiesAssist with the facilitation of study skills/time management activities to assist students with their learningImplementing the Learning Enrichment procedures in the identification of students with learning needsCollaboratively planning with teachers, parents and students for transition of students with high support needsAssisting in the preparation of the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) Contributing to staff professional learning and parent education programsLiaising with parents of students on a Learning Support programMaintaining accurate records and tracking student progressThe preferred candidate will be expected toSupport and implement the vision of our schoolImplement and uphold best practice teaching and learning strategies in line with the school''s pedagogical frameworkEngage in further professional development as part of continual learningSupport the priorities and pillars of our community ''Faith, Excellence and Respect''Abide by and comply with Child Protection and WHS policiesAlways conduct themselves in a professional and ethical mannerParticipate in supporting the Christian Ethos of the School, with a willingness to contribute to its academic, pastoral and co-curricular lifeFulfil roles as required to comply with duty of care obligations.Required Skills and KnowledgeTertiary qualification in Education with Post Graduate qualifications in Special EducationSignificant experience in learning support educationExperienced classroom teacher familiar with the implementation of the NESA new syllabusesExperience in digital literacy with regard to application in teaching and learningAble to develop a stimulating and engaging learning environmentDemonstrate implementation of planned activities and supply evidence of effective evaluation of teacher/learning activitiesProvide evidence of incorporating effective learning programs and suitable teaching aids and/or resourcesExperience in assessing and reporting on student progress and classroom management techniques.To be consideredfor this opportunity, we kindly request that you submit the documentation listed below:a current cover letter explaining how and why you would make a great addition to our teamcopies of your academic achievements with transcript, and contact details for two refereesNSW Working with Children CheckA full role description for this position can be requested [email protected] email these documents to Mrs Elfa Lillis, Head of School [email protected] Saints Grammar employees are paid under the current Independent Schools (Teachers) Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025. #J-18808-Ljbffr
