We''re seeking for an experienced Process Assistant to join the team at our Jandakot Fulfillment Center for a position on the Night shift from 5:15pm - 3:15am.The Process Assistants will support the Area Manager, and will hold responsibilities in one of the following process areas within the Fulfillment Center Operations: Receive, stow, pick, pack or ship. You''ll have the opportunity to continuously improve the efficiency of delivery processes, ensuring that customer orders are delivered as quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively as possible.Key Job ResponsibilitiesSupport and work in all departments as requiredHelping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties etcProviding coverage for Area ManagersProviding policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)Tracking and reporting of ATS/labor hoursAssisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP complianceEnsuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performanceParticipating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacityFully understanding workflow and daily production goalsAssisting in keeping work area clean and organisedIdentifying and addressing safety hazards within the work areaCoaching associates to work safely at all timesBASIC QUALIFICATIONSExperience working with computers and Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel)Experience leading teamsWork a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidaysAvailability to work 38 hours+/week, and overtime as requiredExcellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team membersPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience directly managing othersExperience with performance metrics and lean process improvementExperience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environmentAcknowledgement of country:In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
