No matter what corporate or support role you play in delivering our critical services to Victorians, you will join a team dedicated to bringing our vision to be a world-leading ambulance service to life.We are seeking a Manager Media to lead an experienced and highperforming team of media and public relations professionals to anticipate issues, react to the news cycle and positively frame AV''s clinical excellence, research and its reputation through proactive and reactive media, stakeholder and government relationships. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you and your team will deliver strategic communications, advocacy and media campaigns across metropolitan, regional and rural Victoria. This handson role requires a deep understanding of community and organisational needs, and political nuances in which you operate. You will provide expert guidance and strategic advice while delivering exceptional people leadership within your area of responsibility in the Communication and Engagement Directorate.This is a full time, permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at our Doncaster office in line with our hybrid working model.About The RoleReporting to the Senior Manager Media, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:Lead and develop an amazing team while fostering continuous performance improvement, proactively identifying, developing and delivering solutions, sharing ideas, and leading by exampleSeek out positive media opportunities, informed by robust intelligence gathering, to support and promote highquality care and innovative patientcentred servicesProactively identify current and emerging media issues and risks and develop wellconsidered responses or solutionsTake a relationshipsbased approach to work proactively with a broad range of stakeholders, including the workforce, government, media and community, to build trust and advocate for AV prioritiesAbout YouTo be considered for this position you will possess:Proven experience leading teams to deliver highperformance, growth and development and an aligned and engaged cultureProven ability to recognise emerging issues and proactively respond with wellconsidered responses or solutions, demonstrating sound judgement and issues management capabilityDemonstrated successful experience delivering communications, media liaison, public relations, brand advocacy and government relations in a complex organisation, ideally with a knowledge of the health or emergency services contextDemonstrated expertise in managing, designing and delivering a range of communications materials and strategies in a variety of mediums. Welldeveloped knowledge of best and emerging practices in the field, including digital and traditional mediaCompletion of a postgraduate degree or relevant industry certification in communication, public relations, journalism or related field, with high level relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and sound experienceYou will be required to be available outside of ordinary working hours to provide advice, support or authoritative direction to other employees or managers involved in dealing with emergency or timecritical incidents or issues (CAA1).Working at Ambulance VictoriaAs a valued member of AV you will enjoy a professional working environment that recognises the importance of work/life balance.
