Working collaboratively across the organisation, you and your team will deliver strategic communications, advocacy and media campaigns across metropolitan, regional and rural Victoria. This handson role requires a deep understanding of community and organisational needs, and political nuances in which you operate. You will provide expert guidance and strategic advice while delivering exceptional people leadership within your area of responsibility in the Communication and Engagement Directorate.This is a full time, permanent position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at our Doncaster office in line with our hybrid working model.About The RoleReporting to the Senior Manager Media, responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:Lead and develop an amazing team while fostering continuous performance improvement, proactively identifying, developing and delivering solutions, sharing ideas, and leading by exampleSeek out positive media opportunities, informed by robust intelligence gathering, to support and promote highquality care and innovative patientcentred servicesProactively identify current and emerging media issues and risks and develop wellconsidered responses or solutionsTake a relationshipsbased approach to work proactively with a broad range of stakeholders, including the workforce, government, media and community, to build trust and advocate for AV prioritiesAbout YouTo be considered for this position you will possess:Proven experience leading teams to deliver highperformance, growth and development and an aligned and engaged cultureProven ability to recognise emerging issues and proactively respond with wellconsidered responses or solutions, demonstrating sound judgement and issues management capabilityDemonstrated successful experience delivering communications, media liaison, public relations, brand advocacy and government relations in a complex organisation, ideally with a knowledge of the health or emergency services contextDemonstrated expertise in managing, designing and delivering a range of communications materials and strategies in a variety of mediums.
