If you are willing to roll your sleeves up and contribute to this journey, we would love to hear from you!About the Role:Reporting to: Cargo Readiness & Bookings SupervisorEmployment Type: Permanent, full-timeWork Location: Melbourne, VICAs Cargo Readiness Officer, you will manage booking amendments, coordinate container releases, and monitor cargo readiness to ensure smooth export operations and timely communication with clients and internal teams.Responsibilities include:Support the Customer Care team and help manage vessel space and firm bookings.Handle booking changes, schedule updates, and keep customers informed.Assign container releases and respond quickly to customer calls and emails.Assist with customer queries about logistics, PRA issues, damaged containers, and cost recovery.Monitor the cargo readiness mailbox and help improve booking processes.Prepare cargo readiness reports, check vessel bookings, and correct any issues before loading.Maintain forecast reports, follow OH&S and quality standards, and help coordinate special cargo delivery requests.To be successful in this role, you will need:Experience in shipping, logistics, or transport operations (minimum 2 years).Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and general computer systems.Knowledge of terminal / transport operations and World Shipping PortsExcellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to negotiate and influence ideas and booking strategiesHigh attention to detail with a proactive and team-oriented approach.To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident.If you are a New Zealand citizen and planning to relocate permanently to Melbourne, Australia, you are welcome to apply.We are building our team locally in Australia and are looking for people who want to grow with us; applications from overseas candidates expecting remote work will not be considered.Kia ora, Talofa, Halo we welcome all local talent ready to join our diverse Oceania team.We are continuously striving to provide new opportunities and benefits that make our business a great place to work, but the truth is that it''s our people who make us want to come to work every day.
