If you are passionate about making a direct impact in animal welfare, we''d love to talk to you.Key ResponsibilitiesConsult Support: Support veterinarians with routine examinations and consultationsOrganisation Pro: Prepare and implement surgery schedulesClient Support: Provide veterinary nursing care and grief support to clientsNursing Support: Assist in radiography, surgical procedures, monitor patient anaesthesia and postoperative procedures, inhouse and external pathology procedures, prepare medications as required.Inpatient Care: Nurse hospitalised animals, monitor clinical signs and communicate with ownersCommunity Advocate: Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and empathy for community animal health and welfare issues.What are the minimum requirements for this position?Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or recognised equivalentMinimum of 2+ years'' vet nursing experienceExcellent animal handling skillsExperience in a busy, fastpaced work environmentGood computer literacy, including Microsoft Office SuitePrevious experience in a shelter/rescue environment will be highly regardedTo Be Successful In This Role, You Will HaveExcellent Customer Service SkillsStrong Interpersonal and Communication SkillsAbility to manage your own time effectively and be respectful of the time of othersStrong attention to detail within deadlinesVersatility, flexibility and positivityWho are we?Our Hospital has stateoftheart equipment such as digital Xray, ultrasound, dental rads, and much more.
