About The RoleAs a Full Time Staging Supervisor, you''ll hold a pivotal leadership role within our Senior Staging Team. This position supports the technical delivery, training, and development of our Staging operations, with a particular focus on highlevel operation, delivery, and team mentorship.Fulltime fixedterm position to October 2026. Band 3.2.13 $85,347.00 p.a. plus superannuation.Key ResponsibilitiesDocumentation & Systems Development: Support the continued development of Staging procedures and standards across ACM venues.Training & Mentorship: Support the growth of technical capability across the department through mentoring, coaching, and handson support.Crew Leadership & Production Support:Supervise and lead Staging teams across preproduction, loadins, rehearsals, performances, and loadouts.Ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with venue and production requirements.Mentor and support casuals, core staff, trainees, and new starters, promoting a collaborative, inclusive, and safe working environment.Provide highlevel operation and mentor training of crew in Counterweight Flying and Cat 4/5 automated fly systems.Asset Management:Keep up to date on the venue maintenance and repairs of the venue you are working in.Support audit, procurement, and inventory processes.What We''re Looking ForPossess a relevant Diploma or higher at a recognised institution or a minimum of 5 years'' experience in leading stage crew in the event/theatre industry.Previous experience as a Head Mech or similar senior technical role.Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead crews, including training new staff.Strong technical expertise in Counterweight and Automated Fly systems.Knowledge of Rigging design.Experience in technical documentation creation.Desirable AttributesA comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of technical theatre, including building, rigging, operation of equipment and the relevant needs of opera, drama, dance, concert production and the repertory format is required.Experience in staging techniques and equipment including set design and building, complex theatrical rigging, manual and automated fly system operation, automation systems, orchestral layouts, complex manual handling and loading logistics.Experience in collaborating with teams, coaching staff and assisting in their continuous learning and professional development with a focus on team building & team representation.Preferred:Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Riggers licence.Elevated Work Platform licence up to 11 metres.Forklift licence.Occupational Health and Safety.About YouYou are a trusted, proactive technician who thrives on both the creative and technical sides of production.
