OverviewThe Association of School Business Administrators [ASBA] is a national professional membership organisation that supports school business and operational professionals working in the independent school sector across Australia and New Zealand. We are looking for a Learning and Development Coordinator to help us grow and deliver high-quality professional learning and certification pathways for our Chapter and Branch members.Position PurposeThe Program Development Coordinator will play a pivotal role in delivering and advancing ASBA''s strategic focus on professional learning, certification, and member growth. This role leads the support of the design, coordination, and delivery of nationally consistent professional development programs aligned with ASBA''s Learning and Development Framework and CPD certification pathways.A key component of the role is the proactive identification and coordination of speakers, contributors and subject matter experts to ensure ASBA delivers exceptional learning experiences, thought leadership and high-value content across all platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Design and DeliveryCoordinate the planning and delivery of ASBA''s national professional development program, ensuring all offerings align with the Learning and Development Framework and strategic priorities. This includes developing program schedules, session outlines, and learning objectives, supporting flexible delivery across face-to-face, hybrid, digital and global formats, and working closely with Chapters to identify local needs and incorporate them into nationally consistent programming.Speaker and Contributor IdentificationProactively source, assess and recommend high-quality speakers, facilitators and subject matter experts across ASBA''s Learning and Development Framework domains, maintaining a strong presenter pipeline aligned to strategic learning goals. Manage speaker engagement end-to-endincluding invitations, briefings, content planning, logistics, and follow-upand support the CEO in engaging partners and industry leaders as presenters or contributors to strengthen thought leadership and program quality.Content Development and CommunicationsCoordinate and contribute to content development across ASBA''s e-newsletters, ASBA Quarterly and The Associate, promoting professional development opportunities, member stories and strategic updates. This includes sourcing and managing article contributors, overseeing timelines and editorial workflows, and drafting or editing articles that highlight learning programs, member achievements and key initiatives, while working with the CEO to ensure all content is consistent with ASBA''s voice and aligned to its strategic domains.Digital Learning and Broadcast ProgrammingSupport ASBA''s digital learning and broadcast program by coordinating podcast production (guest management, topic development, script preparation and post-production review) and managing webinar delivery (scheduling, presenter liaison, content coordination and post-event engagement). Ensure consistently high-quality online experiences through clear processes, proactive communication, and thorough technical preparation.Certification and CPD FrameworkSupport the administration and ongoing improvement of ASBA''s national certification framework by coordinating CPD tracking, recognition pathways and qualification mapping, and liaising with external providers and accreditation bodies to ensure the framework remains high quality, current and relevant for members.Member Engagement and GrowthBuild strong relationships with Chapters and members to understand evolving needs and incorporate local professional development priorities into national offerings. Support initiatives that grow ASBA''s reach to related business and operational professionals, and help coordinate and contribute to mentoring and peer support programs that promote career-long learning and connection.Quality Assurance and EvaluationMonitor program performance, member feedback, and engagement metrics to evaluate impact and identify opportunities for improvement. Prepare clear reports and recommendations to support continuous improvement and strategic alignment, ensuring all programs and content consistently meet ASBA''s quality standards and reflect its strategic goals.Stakeholder CollaborationCollaborate with subject matter experts, presenters and strategic partners to co-design high-value learning content aligned to ASBA''s priorities, and support the CEO and National Office in delivering key strategic services and governance support to members and Chapters.Selection CriteriaExperience in program coordination, adult learning, or professional development (preferably in school business management, education or association sectors).Demonstrated ability to identify and manage presenters, contributors and subject matter experts.Strong project management and organisational skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.Experience coordinating content for publication or digital communication platforms.Familiarity with digital learning platforms and hybrid delivery models.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.Understanding of independent school business management or related professional domains.Experience with CPD frameworks, certification programs, professional standards or accreditation processes.Why this roleThis role is perfect for someone with proven experience designing professional learning for non-teaching staff in schools (e.g., business managers, finance, HR, operations, compliance, ICT, facilities), ideally in the independent school sector, and seeking meaningful, flexible work within the education sector.Part-time (approx. 0.6 FTE) work the equivalent of at least 3 days per weekFlexible MondayFriday spread your hours across the week in a way that works for youTerm-time friendly ideal for someone who wants their work to align with the school yearFully remote work from anywhere in Australia12-month contract with the potential for renewalHow to applyASBA has formally appointed Corporate Diversity Pathways [CDP] to manage the appointment of the Learning and Development Coordinator.
