The role builds on existing fundraising activity and partnerships, with a particular focus on activating current opportunities and establishing strong core fundraising practices.This role suits an experienced fundraising general practitioner who can think critically, prioritise effectively and operate confidently in a developing fundraising environment. The focus is on delivering income - particularly subscriptions, regular giving, digital appeals and corporate partnerships -while embedding the structures, confidence and fundraising culture required for sustainable growth over time.Success in this role depends on sound judgement, handson delivery, and the ability to embed good fundraising practice within a growing team.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and evaluate The Big Issue and Homes for Homes'' fundraising strategy to diversify and expand revenue streams including:SubscriptionsDigital appealsRegular giving acquisition and conversionCorporate and community partnershipsWorkplace givingDrive the annual fundraising budget through disciplined analysis, tracking and reportingUse audience segmentation and data insights to prioritise highimpact activityOptimise campaign performance through testing, refinement and evaluationWork with Communications and Marketing colleagues to ensure campaigns are well planned, valuesaligned and effectiveDevelop and implement an annual fundraising campaigns calendar that raises funds from new and existing donors through regular appeals and community eventsDevelop and optimise individual giving programs, with a strong focus on growing and retaining regular monthly donorsEnsure donor records, acknowledgements, and receipts are managed accurately through the CRM.Work with the Marketing and Communications team to increase subscriptions to The Big Issue Magazine.Develop and implement clear donor stewardship protocols across key segments, including:newly acquired donorsregular giversStrengthen retention, engagement and lifetime value through consistent, meaningful stewardship, tailored partnership proposals, sponsorship packages and renewal strategiesImplement and expand profitable donor and supporter communications, including newslettersWork with the wider team to refresh donor collateral and communications for:regular givingbequestsSupport the gradual development of a major and midvalue donor pipeline (including through disciplined relationship management, including engagement with philanthropic trusts and foundationsImplement tactics to retain existing subscribers to the Big Issue Magazine and attract new onesSystems, Process Optimisation & ReportingIn conjunction with specialist support, remediate and optimise the donor database (Salesforce) by implementing robust business rules and data standardsEnsure fundraising activity is supported by clear processes, accurate data and reliable reportingProduce regular performance and impact reports to inform decisionmakingEnsure compliance with fundraising regulations and internal governance requirementsManage and support 23 direct reports, providing clear direction, priorities and accountabilityBuild fundraising capability and confidence across the team through practical leadershipWork collaboratively across Editorial, Communications, Marketing and FinanceContribute to a positive, valuesled fundraising culture that supports organisational sustainabilityOther duties as directed by the organisation.Key Selection CriteriaDemonstrated experience in delivering income growth across digital fundraising, partnerships, development, or business development.Strong relationshipbuilding and stakeholder management skills.Excellent written communication skills, including proposal writing and donor communications.Experience working within the social enterprise and/or notforprofit sector.Strong project management, organisational and prioritisation skills.Ability to operate confidently in a fastpaced and changing environment.Experience leading a teamExperience using Raisely or similar digital fundraising platformsExperience
