This includes overseeing staff development, coordinating training, addressing welfare issues, analysing data to identify trends, and collaborating with Indie management team and external stakeholders to improve the overall effectiveness of the welfare services provided.Workplace tasking and key responsibilities:Ability to build strong internal relationships with Indie management team and key external stakeholders.Have a comprehensive understanding of child safe practices, mandatory reporting legislation, policies, and procedures in State/s of operation.Recruit, train, support and develop welfare staff in areas pertaining to Indies welfare program.Conduct monthly supervision sessions for all welfare staff to monitor progress, address concerns, provide support and promote professional growth.Collate and analyse reports related to welfare needs, gaps, trends, and student requirements.Propose solutions based on data and staff input to address identified needs and improve welfare services and practices.Coordinate, delegate, and support the development of internal training programs for students, focusing on welfare and wellbeing topics.Participate in welfare staff performance review process with the Indie site manager, providing feedback and areas for development.Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.Schedule and lead staff meetings to discuss welfare issues, share updates, and collaborate on solutions.Time management skills, administrative skills, and ability to meet deadlines.Strong written, oral, and digital literacy skills, and attention to detail.For this position, the applicants must:Have proven experience in management.Have understanding of the school system.Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and resolve conflicts.Be willing and able to travel regularly to different sites as required.For this position applicants must hold and provide evidence of:Minimum qualification of Diploma in Community Services, Counselling, Youth Work, Social Science, Social Work or related discipline.Current Australian Driver LicenceWorking with Children Check (relevant to state)National Police Check (renewed annually)Benefits of IndieAttractive PBI Salary packaging is on offer through MaxxiaUniform providedCompany laptop and mobile phone provided15 days paid personal leavePaid parental leave provisionsAccess to an Employee Wellbeing Platform via SonderLocations all around AustraliaTo apply:Please submit a cover letter (no more than 2 pages) highlighting why you are the ideal candidate for this role.
