About the RoleThis role sits as the right hand to the CFO and is critical to lifting the commercial and operational capability of the finance function. The focus is on stepping out of the weeds, taking a higher level view of the business and driving execution across process improvement, performance and future growth initiatives. The CFO has a clear view on what needs to improve and is seeking a senior finance leader who can design, lead and execute change in a private equity owned environment. This is a hands on, commercially driven role with strong exposure to the executive team and ownership.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide senior commercial leadership across the finance function with a focus on outcomes, not just reportingMove the finance team from transactional and operational to forward looking and value drivenLead and deliver end to end process improvement initiatives across finance and adjacent functionsAct as a strategic partner to the CFO, providing insight, challenge and execution supportOversee integration planning and execution for future acquisitions in the waste management sectorWork closely with the Head of Finance who owns financial reporting, statutory and technical accountingDrive financial discipline, performance improvement and value creation in a private equity contextSupport the broader executive team with clear, practical and commercially focused financial insightAbout YouYou are a CA/CPA-qualified finance professional with extensive experience leading finance transformation and delivering complex initiatives across large, decentralised organisations.
