Watch a short video here:have an exciting opening for a hands on Equipment & Wash Supervisor to join our Perth Airport Catering team in a permanent full-timeposition.More about this role:This role is responsible for the efficient day to day operation of the Wash, Assembly, Bulk Equipment, Bulk Food, and Bar Packing sections and its associated teams. The Equipment and Wash Supervisor reports to and supports the Equipment Manager for Perth.This role ensures the production sections have accurate quantity of equipment and all bulk flights are packed according to the Galley Loading Plans (GLP) and are completed in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for each Airline customer.In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are:Manage multiple teams across four or five key operational areas.Assist manage the department in the absence of the Equipment Manager.Work proactively on daily issues as they arise such as equipment shortages, delivery scheduling, changing flight schedules etc.Manage and maintain smooth workflow in the commercial Wash areaEnsure adequate staff are rostered and cross trained to complete the daily tasks.Ensures all flights are packed accurately according to the GLP and deadlines are met.Record temperature of food before delivering products to the Operations teamEnsure that your team, in conjunction with the ULO, meet the Internal Delivery System (IDS) requirements.Ensure no waste on bulk food and stock rotation policies are followed in line with the Dnata Catering Food Safety Manual.Set and monitor KPI''s for each sections Leading Hand.Adhere to the company''s policy for HALAL, HACCP, QSAI / Food Safety & WHSSupport the Unit Logistics Officer in the monthly stocktake for each customer AirlineAccurate record keeping and filing of documentation (orders, invoices, check sheets)Provide reporting and regular updates at briefings and departmental meetingsPromote a safety first culture in the warehouse including sanitation, hygiene adherence and correct wearing of safety attire (PPE).What do you need to be successful in securing this role?Proven knowledge of logistics management and production and assembly process.Exposure to a high volume or fast paced manufacturing environment.Excellent written and verbal communications skills.Demonstrates organisational / time management skills.Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholdersPrevious experience with an ERP or Inventory Management system desirableCompetent in documentation and records management.Forklift License may be required.As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.What''s in it for you?Be part of a close knit & dedicated team that is committed to safety.Free onsite parking, daily staff meals, and uniforms provided.5 weeks Annual Leave.Free and confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP) available 24/7.Career development and progression, coupled with national relocation opportunities.Discounts at hundreds of retailers, discounted health insurance and wellbeing resources including online exercise classes.Part of the Emirates Group, we are Australia''s largest inflight catering and retail partner.
