Leveraging BG&E''s 50+ years of proven expertise in buildings, roads and rail, our vision is to build a multidisciplinary engineering and project delivery business capable of delivering projects with a capital value of up to $500 million, while upholding BG&E''s long-standing reputation for technical excellence.As part of BG&E''s global network of over 750 professionals across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East, we are backed by an international civil and structural engineering consultancy celebrated for innovative, award-winning designs that prioritise practicality and constructability.At BG&E Minerals, we share the same purpose that unites all of BG&E the belief that truly great engineering takes curiosity, bravery and trust, and is the key to creating extraordinary built environments.The RoleThe purpose of this role is to support the establishment of BG&E Minerals and its growth into the Mining and Minerals sector within South Australia by assuming a range or responsibilities such as:Undertake detailed analysis and structural design to ensure safety, compliance, and constructabilityAssess the behaviour and performance of materials under construction-stage conditionsDevelop and advise on construction methodologies and sequencing plans in consultation with site teams and contractorsCollaborate with engineers, designers, and consultants to deliver coordinated solutionsReview technical reports, drawings, and design calculations for quality and accuracyPrepare / Assist with the tendering and winning of workLiaise with clients, local authorities, and other project stakeholders as required for the delivery of projectsApply project management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and achieve project deliverables to the required standard and in a timely mannerPrepare and review technical reportsIdentify and manage technical and commercial risks on behalf of BG&E and our clientsCoordinate with other engineering disciplines and actively participate in interdisciplinary workshops and risk assessments as requiredEnsure that all work is undertaken in accordance with the appropriate legislation, relevant standards, corporate requirements and systemsRepresent BG&E Minerals and instil confidence in our clients and external stakeholders of the value we bringAbout YouYou will be a key contributor within BG&E Minerals'' Structural team where you''ll apply your structural engineering expertise across a range of studies and projects.BEng or higher in Civil/Structural EngineeringRelevant industry experience (5-10 years)Solid understanding of Australian standards and construction safety principlesSkilled in structural analysis software and able to produce clear, accurate documentationProven experience in developing practical, buildable solutions under site constraintsStrong communication and coordination skills, particularly with site teams and contractorsA proactive, hands-on approach to solving engineering challengesWhat We OfferFlexible / Hybrid working arrangements aimed at achieving real work life balanceCompetitive remunerationGenerous leave arrangements including a purchased leave schemeHealth and wellbeing support via confidential EAP programGender Equity, Diversity and InclusionEquality is part of our DNA We value who you are - it begins with our values and continues through our culture and is fostered throughout our workplaces.
