About the roleAs the very first Head of Risk & Compliance at Recludo Ltd, you will play a critical role in building and shaping the company''s compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies. Working remotely, this full-time role will see you working closely with the CEO and Executive Team to build a process (and overtime team) identifying, assessing and mitigating risks across the Recludo Group. You will be a trusted advisor to the executive team, providing strategic guidance on risk management and regulatory matters across the Recludo Group as we move the business out of a very successful start-up phase and into a diversified business growth strategy, including oversight of our Corporate entity, our Mortgage Broking Services and our Mortgage Management Business.Australian citizenship is required for this position.What you''ll be doingOversee the build and development, implementation and ongoing management of the company''s risk management and compliance frameworksMonitor the regulatory environment and ensure the company''s practices align with all relevant laws and regulationsEstablish and maintain robust policies, procedures and controls to identify, assess and address key risksProvide expert advice and support to our business leaders on risk and compliance mattersAs we grow the business, build, lead and mentor a team of risk and compliance professionalsReport to the CEO and executive team on the company''s risk profile and compliance statusCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive a culture of risk awareness and complianceWhat we''re looking forGrounded experience (5-7+ years) in a senior risk and compliance role, ideally within the banking or financial services industryThorough understanding of risk management principles and best practices, as well as a deep knowledge of relevant regulations and legislationProven track record of developing and implementing effective risk and compliance programsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex information for diverse audiencesStrong leadership skills and the ability to build, motivate and develop high-performing teamsExperience managing small teams of 1-3 people in risk and compliance functionsTertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. law, finance, business) highly regardedRelevant professional certifications in risk management, compliance, or related fields preferredWhat we offerAt Recludo, we are committed to creating a rewarding and supportive work environment for our employees.
