Our mission is to grow as an innovative global oncology company that positively transforms the lives of patients.Position SummaryThe (Sr.) Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a fieldbased medical affairs role focused on developing and maintaining peertopeer relationships with medical experts and clinical trial investigators. The MSL will collaborate with physicians, other medical experts and their extended crossfunctional team members to support trial enrollment, provide related program and protocol training and ensure that healthcare professionals have the most uptodate information as the clinical development programs mature. This role will be focused on the ocular oncology franchise, with a small percentage of time dedicated to the bladder cancer programs. Location: Australia (Sydney or Melbourne, preferred) / New Zealand (Auckland, preferred)Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain peertopeer collaborations and relationships with key medical experts in the ocular oncology community as well as their extended team members.Support clinical development initiatives including site identification, trial recruitment, registry, and protocol and program training.Serve as scientific peertopeer resource to external disease experts and internal stakeholders.Communicate clinical insights internally to inform medical strategy.Develop an understanding of the treatment landscape.Collaborate with physicians on medical affairs initiatives including publications, advisory boards, medical education opportunities, training, and speaker development.Maintain effective and appropriate communication among internal stakeholders while maintaining full compliance with relevant requirements.Generate tactical regional plans to provide needsbased, valueadded support of the medical and scientific community inline with company goals.Use systems to strategically map, identify, profile and prioritize thought leaders in line with the medical plan and goals.Maintain accurate reporting and documentation of MSL activities.Education, Registration & CertificationAdvanced scientific or clinical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, NP, PA), strongly preferred, or equivalent.ExperienceMinimum of 35 years of fieldbased MSL experience.Robust and current clinical development experience supporting drugs to treat rare diseases; prior ophthalmology or oncology experience preferred.Candidate must have an understanding of compliance considerations and demonstrate ability to work compliantly in a fieldbased role, within the medical organization.Skills, Knowledge & AbilitiesExcellent oral and written communication skills.Energetically embraces responsibilities, demonstrates ability to achieve goals.Has strong initiative and functions well as part of a crossfunctional team.Exhibits excellent time management.Demonstrated ability to work independently.Experience in a small biotech environment preferred.Must be proactive team player, flexible, and able to work in ambiguous situations.OtherOffice is homebased (must reside in territory).Travel up to 80%.Required travel to medical meetings, team meetings, and other group meetings (will require some weekends). #J-18808-Ljbffr
