Our vision is a thriving agritech ecosystem with continuous innovation, investment, and talent influx.Role PurposeThe Executive Officer (EO) is responsible for the strategic leadership, coordination, and delivery of AusAgritech''s national activities. This is a handson leadership role within a lean association, requiring a balance of sector leadership, program delivery, stakeholder engagement, and operational oversight. The EO acts as the primary representative of AusAgritech and is accountable for delivering value to members while advancing Australia''s agritech ecosystem.Key ResponsibilitiesSector Leadership & StrategyLead the delivery and ongoing stewardship of Australia''s National Agritech Strategic PlanTranslate strategy into clear priorities, roadmaps, and actionProvide strategic advice and briefings to the AusAgritech CommitteeShape and articulate AusAgritech''s national narrative and positioningContribute to AusAgritech''s financial sustainability through aligned opportunities including grants, sponsorships, partnerships, and membership growthGovernment, Policy & AdvocacyLead and coordinate policy submissions, consultation responses, and advocacy activityBuild and maintain productive relationships with federal and state governments, RDCs, and aligned programsRepresent sector priorities clearly and credibly in policy and funding discussionsMonitor policy, regulatory, and funding developments relevant to agritechIdentify and pursue government funding and grant opportunities aligned with strategic prioritiesPrograms, Events & InitiativesLead the planning and delivery of AusAgritech''s flagship programs, including:Annual Australian Agritech Awards & GalaInvestor ShowcasesState-based meetups and workshopsNational and international engagement activitiesManage program budgets, partners, sponsors, and delivery timelinesBalance ambition with organisational capacity and available fundingDeliver programs in a way that supports cost recovery and revenue generationMembership & Ecosystem EngagementLead AusAgritech''s membership strategy, ensuring strong value delivery, engagement, and retentionBuild trusted relationships with members across regions and subsectorsAct as a connector across producers, innovators, investors, researchers, and industry partnersSupport collaboration and alignment across the national agritech ecosystemContribute to sustainable membership and partnership revenue through value-aligned engagementPartnerships & External RelationsDevelop and manage strategic partnerships aligned with AusAgritech''s objectivesMaintain relationships with sponsors, partners, and ecosystem stakeholdersIdentify opportunities that strengthen AusAgritech''s impact, profile, and sustainabilityOperations, Governance & ManagementOversee day-to-day operations of the Association, including:Member management and CRM oversightContracts, invoicing, and basic financial administrationCommittee support, reporting, and governance processesOversee grant and sponsorship reporting where applicableManage and work with part-time staff, contractors, and suppliersEnsure compliance with relevant regulatory and reporting obligationsMaintain oversight of organisational financial viability and reporting against funded activitiesCommunications & RepresentationAct as the primary spokesperson for AusAgritechRepresent the organisation at industry events, meetings, and forumsPrepare presentations, reports, and written communications for members, partners, and stakeholdersOversee external communications, working with contractors where appropriateOperates within a focused, lean team environment with the opportunity to have direct impact across strategy, delivery, and sector engagementRequires thoughtful prioritisation to ensure effort is directed toward initiatives with the greatest strategic and member valueDecisions are guided by alignment with AusAgritech''s mission and prioritiesSuccess is
