A leading specialist provider of heavy-duty pumping solutions for demanding applications in mining, minerals processing, and heavy industry across Australia is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their growing team. This is a home-based role located in NSW.You''ll report directly to the National Director and operate autonomously from your home base. This is a classic "hunter" sales position with a strong emphasis on new business development, involving regular travel (510 days per month by road and air) to mining sites, processing plants, and industrial clients. The role combines proactive prospecting, relationship building, technical consultations, and deal closing to expand market share in your assigned territory.Core responsibilities include:Actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in heavy-duty pumping applicationsDeveloping and executing strategic prospecting plans to grow sales across your regionsBuilding and maintaining strong client relationships through regular face-to-face visitsOffering technical guidance: assessing pumping requirements, interpreting performance data, troubleshooting, and recommending appropriate equipment and accessoriesPreparing competitive quotes in accordance with company policiesMeeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs while supporting overall strategic objectivesKeeping accurate records in CRM systems and utilising Microsoft Office effectivelyTo be successful, you''ll need:Mechanical (or electrical) trade qualification preferred, with good technical understanding of pumping systemsProven track record in sales/business development of pumping equipmentSolid experience in the pumps sector, particularly in mining and heavy industry applicationsEstablished network and contacts within mining clients in NSWA proactive "hunter" mindset with demonstrated success in generating and converting new opportunitiesExcellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsWillingness and physical ability to travel extensively to remote sites (fit, reliable, and road-ready)Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft OfficeIf you''re a technically capable sales professional with relevant pumps/mining industry experience, a strong drive for new business wins, and the stamina for a travel-heavy, high-reward role - this could be an excellent career move. #J-18808-Ljbffr
